SOLIDUR

Solidur, ready-for-use self-hardening mixtures to be used between diaphragm walls to repair, fill in and strengthen floodbanks and barriers of concrete, to seal waste stockpiles, stilts, and to fill in other empty places.

Application

1. Thin diaphragm walls

Thin diaphragm walls are built by breaking in the soil structure and filling in the crack. To prevent the broken up soil structure from filling in again on pulling out a steel section, the suspension should have the right density. Many experiments have shown that the density of the suspension is the most important factor determining the above-mentioned effect.p>

2 hour set time is not required as a general rule. The suspension should solidify quickly.

Under certain ground conditions building a thin diaphragm wall can be difficult or impossible (e.g. bigger barriers, thick sands etc.). Therefore it may be essential to build it just like a diaphragm wall.

Products for thin diaphragm walls

To build a thin diaphragm wall the following ready-for-use mixtures of Dyckerhoff Polska are used:

SOLIDUR® 274 C

A binder constituent that is mixed with powdered rock available on-site and then processed. The producer at the recipient’s request can prepare a prescription. The binder is used in an amount of 120-150 kilograms per cubic meter and powdered rock added until the desired density is obtained. You have good economical reason to apply SOLIDUR® 274 C if the distance between the producer and the construction site is long, and powdered rock is available.

SOLIDUR® 273

Ready-for-use mixtures for suspensions in a density of 1.35-1.60 grams per cubic centimeter (solid phase 550-900 kilograms per cubic meter). You have good economical reason to apply SOLIDUR® 273 C if the distance between the producer and the construction site is short, and a filler in the form of powdered rock is available.

2. Diaphragm walls

In this method the soil is removed and replaced with a self-hardening mixture of cement and bentonite. During taking the soil out the suspension acts as a stabilizing liquid and guarantees that the walls of the crack will be held.

The requirements of the suspension depend on the depth of the crack, geological formation and the degree of density calculated consequently to ensure crack stability. For technical and economical reasons the low value of loss water and seepage water is equally favorable.

SOLIDUR® 274 RV

Ready-for-use dry mixture for cut-off walls where the tiered approach is applied with an optimal solid phase of 200-300 kilograms per cubic meter, perfect for summer conditions.

Anti-filtration barrier with the application of deep mixing

The method depends on inserting a special agitator made out of a drilling pole, cross members and spiral drill into the soil. There are no trembles and the drilling is aided by an outflow of cement slurry or cement bentonite slurry (depending on the requirements of the strength and tightness of the barrier) from the drilling pole. After reaching the desired depth columns are formed with the application of deep mixing. The agitator that is turned around and lifted up guarantees that the slurry and ground are mixed evenly.

It is an alternative to a thin diaphragm walls or walls where jet grouting is applied.
